Escher, geometric tile patterns and creative nomadism

.As a teenager, I won a book about Escher as an art prize. A passing reference to Arabic tile designs in the first few pages has made it's presence felt in my work over the years

Moorish patterns abound in the area of Spain where I have my home away from home. In the spirit of artistic nomadism, I find myself returning to them over and over in my work - ​but in different ways.
